Are You Ok? And Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road

Hey there, blog readers! Good news! I've rented a car and have yet to die. I absolutely love driving. I don't love driving super long distances alone, but I do love a good drive, nonetheless. I laugh out loud but to myself (because I'm by myself) all the time in the car. It's part sheer thrill of the open road, part anticipation of crashing. I would love for you to witness it because you would probably think I'm crazy.

In that same vein, service workers here, when meaning, "Hello, can I help you?" actually say, "Are you alright?" That's when I look at them with wonder. How do they know? She must have found out. Was he watching me in my car? I typically say very slowly, "I'm fine, thanks," before realizing they want to know my beer order, not about my mental health. Seriously, I still stare at every person who asks me that for a whole second longer and more suspiciously than I ought.

I began my trek in Cork, followed by Killarney. I have photos to prove it:

The English Market in Cork; apparently, it was the posh place to be when the British controlled Ireland

I had never taken note of this before, but one thing we do very well in the U.S. is conservation. Our national parks are the bomb.
But Killarney was nice too, except for the weather.

I forgot about the video feature of my camera until late into this trip. Sorry about that!

Got about 1/4 of the way across this stream on those rocks and decided that wasn't my best life decision and turned around.

From there I headed to Dingle. I should have spent more time in Dingle because it is truly beautiful.
